This article analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and subjectivity from a theoretical perspective based on Michel Foucault, Lev Vygotsky, Byung-Chul Han, and Judith Butler. It explores how confinement and digitalization intensified self-exploitation, hyperconnectivity, and emotional precariousness, exposing structural inequalities in access to psychological well-being. Additionally, it examines the concept of “care of the self” as a practice of resistance against power mechanisms that regulate life and subjectivity. The pandemic was not only a health crisis but also a transformation in the perception of reality and social dynamics, highlighting the importance of community bonds and self-care in rebuilding post-pandemic emotional well-being.
